As well as building aircraft and ship models , I also dabble in “the modelling dark side” of tanks, armoured vehicles and soft skin vehicles.   I used to find this a particularly good way of modelling when I was “on the road” since AFVs are generally easier to handle and paint, plus it avoided the (slight) embarrassment of carrying the complete model through a crowded hotel reception on theway back to my car! Most of these are either 1/72 or 1/76 scale. Like my aircraft models, they stretch over more than 50 years of my modelling, so standards do vary.
www.gengriz.co.uk is a privately maintained non-commercial website. It is intended purely as a record of my model building activities and possibly as a reference for other modellers who share my enthusiasm for aviation, would like to draw on my experiences of model kits, or learn a little about the machines they represent and the amazing people connected with them.
